The new Viale dei Fori Imperiali is conceived as an “archaeological body”: intersubjective, dialoguing, sensual, identifiable as an independent body in form, but meaningful only in dialogue with the city and other archaeological bodies. The elongated figure of the Viale dei Fori is structured with its own formal autonomy, born from the dialogue with a specific urban and historical environment. The bicephalous body of the Viale dei Fori Imperiali develops linearly with a constant section in the center along its entire length.
